Welcome to BUGS Bus Users Group Stevenage
BUGS Bus Users Group Stevenage is an independent group committed to campaigning for good quality bus services in Stevenage and the surrounding areas as well as speaking up for bus users in the area.

About BUGS
Bus Users Group Stevenage works closely with local bus operators, Hertfordshire County Council, Stevenage Borough Council and other interested parties locally. We arrange public meetings on issues affecting local bus users, campaign on transport related issues and assist passengers with resolving their complaints.

We aim to encourage more people to use bus services, and to ensure existing routes are maintained and improved. We campaign for better support for buses from Stevenage and Hertfordshire councils and for improved waiting facilities with timetables available on all stops, including real-time displays, as well as on buses.

We want to see better integration between bus services, with interchangeable tickets you can use on different companies’ buses

Our prime issue at present is in the area of Road Closures sanctioned by County Council for the purposes of road maintenance, installation of infrastructure or to accommodate public events. We aim to resolve conflict caused by breakdown in communication leading to poor implementation.

Our Newsletter is published twice a year, at the end of November and May, and is available electronically and on paper. We hold four Open Meetings per year; the AGM is always the third Thursday of July, then mid-October, late-January and late-April.
