We have a winner!

Rachel Ball and her son Luke from Manchester have won the Bus Users UK #ilovemybus competition designed to celebrate the benefits of bus travel.

Rachel and Luke won the competition with a fantastic bus selfie and the caption - #ilovemybus because it means we can have some adventures over the summer holidays.

The pair were the delighted recipients of a Smart Watch, generously donated by Transdev Blazefield and presented by Claire Walters, Chief Executive of Bus Users UK and Steve Ottley, General Manager of Transdev Blazefield’s Burnley & Rochdale Depots (photo – Bob Fallon Photography). The prize was presented today in Manchester Piccadilly Gardens Bus Station.

Claire Walters, who judged the competition winner, said: “We had a fantastic response from people and so many different reasons for enjoying their bus, from family trips out during the holidays to a night out on the town with friends. Rachel and Luke’s photo really stood out and we particularly loved the idea that taking the bus doesn’t just have to be for necessary journeys - it can also mean having fun.”

Rachel Ball said: “We try to use the bus as much as we can and Luke absolutely loves buses. He doesn’t mind where he goes he just enjoys the journey. I’ve never won anything before and it’s fantastic that we’ve won a competition about how much we love the bus.”
