Wales ‘keeps buses moving’

Ken Skates, Economy Secretary for Welsh Government, has announced £25million funding for local authorities to support socially necessary bus and community transport services.

The funding, allocated through the Bus Services Support Grant (BSSG) will be shared between 22 local authorities to ensure ‘sustainable bus services for Wales over the coming financial year’.

Opening the Bus Summit in Swansea, Mr Skates also announced £3.5million specifically for improvements to technology including on-board audio-visual equipment, stops, shelters, signs and flags, timetable displays and accessible kerbs.
