New Secretary of State for Transport

Leader of the House of Commons, Chris Grayling MP, has been appointed Secretary of State for Transport in Prime Minister Theresa May’s new Government.

Welcoming the appointment, Claire Walters, Chief Executive of Bus Users said: “Buses are the most used form of public transport in the UK and we hope Mr Grayling will make them a priority when it comes to transport policy.”

Mr Grayling has previously held the post of Shadow Secretary of State for Transport from 2005 to 2007 when the Conservative party were in opposition.
