New Director for Bus Users Cymru

Margaret Everson MBE, Director of Bus Users Cymru, is stepping down from the role after nearly 11 years with the organisation.

Barclay Davies who is presently Deputy Director, will formally become Director with effect from 1 August. Barclay said: “I feel privileged to be taking on the role of Director of Bus Users Cymru at such an exciting time for the organisation. Bus Users UK has recently attained charitable status and I look forward to playing my part in bringing people together through socially inclusive transport"

Margaret was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s 2013 Birthday Honours List for services to bus users and to transport in Wales. She will be leaving at the end of July to pursue her many other interests. Commenting on her time with Bus Users UK, Margaret said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my work and hope I have made a worthwhile contribution."
