Chatty Bus

Chatty Bus

Bus Users UK is getting on board with the Chatty Bus - a great new initiative from Thames Travel.

On 29 January a member of the Bus Users team will join representatives from Thames Travel on Route 41 to start a conversation with passengers.

The initiative comes in response to the Government's Loneliness Strategy, with recent statistics showing that three in ten of us go at least one day a week without speaking to anyone close.

The study, from Greener Journeys, showed that almost two in three people admit to feeling lonely, with a third of people deliberately catching the bus to have some human contact, and two thirds of bus users believing that the bus creates strong community ties.

Passengers on Thames Travel Route 41 will be able to opt in or out of the conversation. For those of you who fancy a chat, we'll see you there!
