Chief Executive – Claire Walters
Email: clairewalters@bususers.org
Claire Walters joined Bus Users UK in September 2012. Claire has worked in the non-profit sector for over 20 years in the UK and overseas and has brought extensive management experience along with entrepreneurial flair to the organisation. She is currently reviewing the organisation to ensure that the structures and systems are in place to enable Bus Users UK to expand its membership, impact and influence so that the interests of bus passengers can be most effectively served.
‘I have inherited an excellent team and look forward to working with them to drive the organisation forward towards the forefront of successful campaigns for better services, improvements in bus operators’ responses to problems and the creation of passenger-focused integrated transport systems throughout the UK.
‘To do that, we are going to need more members and volunteers making sure that our voices and message can be heard in every village, town and city. So, if you have a view about how bus services could be improved and some time and energy to help, I look forward to hearing from you. If you have a view but no time or energy at the moment, please consider joining or donating to help us to make bus services better.’ |
