The cost of timetables

From Mr B J Powell, Southport

Each week I get an email from Merseytravel giving the changes to buses, rail and ferry services in the next seven days. Also future rail station closures because of track renewal.

There was an extra paragraph recently to say that because bus companies had issued new timetables then 3,000 bus stops would need new timetables, not to mention printed copies for libraries and tourist centres. I replied that this will cost the transport authority money which could be better spent on rural services and subsidising hospital services. I pay for this through my Council Tax levy.
