Running to stand still

A recent study from traffic analysts Inrix has showed that UK drivers spend on average 32 hours a year stuck in traffic with congestion costing over £30bn a year.

The analysis, which covered 1,064 cities across 38 countries, found that the UK ranked as the 4th most congested developed country in the world and the 3rd most congested in Europe.
In London alone, congestion cost £6bn in 2016 with drivers in the city spending an average of 73 hours stuck in traffic, giving London the dubious honour of being the second most congested city in Europe.
