Ribble Valley Rambler

Northern Rail, in partnership with Community Rail Lancashire, is launching a new winter Sunday train service between Blackpool North and Hellifield. The service named ‘Ribble Valley Rambler’, will operate from Sunday 15 September until Sunday 11 May next year. The service operates two return trips between Blackpool/Preston and Hellifield via Clitheroe and connects into services on the Settle to Carlisle line at Hellifield.

The Ribble Valley Rambler will offer passengers the opportunity to enjoy the ever-changing scenery of the Ribble Valley and Yorkshire Dales from autumn through to spring. Designed to provide a short day out, the service allows enough time to enjoy a walk or to explore towns such as Blackburn, Clitheroe, Settle or Appleby.

Full details of this new service including the timetable, special fares and a full events programme can be found by visiting the website at www.ribblevalleyrambler.wordpress.com
