New Minister for Transport

New Minister for Transport

In the recent cabinet re-shuffle, Lib Dem Baroness Susan Kramer has replaced Norman Baker as Transport Minister.

Describing herself as a ‘grassroots campaigner’, Baroness Kramer was the former MP for Richmond Park before becoming Baroness Kramer of Richmond Park in 2011. She was also Lib Dem London Mayoral Candidate in 2000.

While in office, Norman Baker MP was a great advocate for bus travel, helping to secure new funding for low-carbon buses and retaining much of the Bus Service Operator’s Grant to protect services and maintain fare levels. He also introduced Better Bus Areas.
