Going for gold

Margaret Everson and Barclay Davies from Bus Users Cymru joined Stagecoach South Wales for the launch of its new fleet of luxury Gold buses.

The 120/130 service will run through the Rhondda Fawr Valley serving Tonypandy, Porth, Pontypridd and Nantgarw towards Caerphilly, with passengers treated to leather high-back seats, greater legroom, free wifi, USB charging, and bilingual on-board audio and visual announcements.

The service is Barclay’s local route so he had a personal interest in the launch: “It’s great to see Stagecoach investing in new, state-of-the-art buses and it’s particularly good to see that they have next stop audio/visual announcements, making the service more accessible. I’m looking forward to travelling around the Rhondda on these fantastic new buses.”
