Survey shows high satisfaction rates among local bus passengers
The latest Bus Passenger Survey from Passenger Focus shows that 86% of passengers are satisfied with their local bus service.
But while overall satisfaction rates are high, results vary considerably when it comes to the basics, such as value for money, reliability and punctuality.
David Sidebottom, Passenger Director at Passenger Focus said: “Passengers tell us that they want a bus service that is punctual, reliable and offers value for money. Such a wide range of value for money and punctuality scores across the country shows there is still room for improvement."
Claire Walters, Chief Executive of Bus Users, agreed: “This absolutely reflects what Bus Users has consistently said for years, that understanding passenger needs and putting passengers at the heart of services is the key to getting more people on board.”
