At Bus Users UK our mission is to champion the interests of bus and coach users and campaign for better bus and coach services.

Our aim

Our aim is to ensure that the views of bus and coach users are at the heart of decisions which affect them. We give passengers a voice and make sure their views are heard by Government, local authorities and bus companies large and small. 

  • Our ‘Your Bus Matters’ events give people the chance to have their say direct to the operators and local authorities who run their bus services.
  • We talk to Government and respond to consultations to make sure passengers have a voice. 
  • We campaign to highlight issues of importance to bus users and draw attention to their needs and concerns.
  • We handle complaints on behalf of passengers and work closely with bus companies over the causes of complaints, to give bus users greater confidence.
  • We work to drive up standards in bus and coach travel to make it a viable choice of transport for all.

Bus Users is an approved Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Body for bus and coach passengers, and the nominated body for dealing with complaints under the European Passenger Rights Regulation.
